Currently, on-site, we bring in a lot of data from various sources, some manual, some on API, and some through other coding options. Since this is done all of the time, at various times of the week, our site can be updated as you order. This can lead to errors in the cart and sometimes even worse an empty cart a few days later.
Please note we are working on this, with early next year a new PIM system to house all of our data and give us more control on-site. Furthermore, we will be implementing a wishlist functioning from January so all of our customers can add to the wish list and keep it here for as long as they like, during the whole order process.
